The 75-year-old building in 2003 was closed due to declining enrollment and the heat was turned off to save $6,500 a year on fuel costs, a school board leader said. The district still has a $367,000 debt on the building, payable through 2025, for previous work including renovations done three years before the school closed. This building has been closed for the last 8 years and the taxpayers still owe this amount of money until 2025. Wow, what a great investment of tax dollars.
Taxpayers still paying for a DEAD horse? Wasteful tax dollars down the drain again.
