This part pertains to the context preceding it, so “any person” means all persons who are born or naturalized, not every fricken person in the universe. Read it in context and understand it. This is why we need Supreme Court Justices who interpret this document as to what the original intent meant, not what they want it to mean.
Throw all illegal aliens out of our country and let them file paperwork and come here the legal and correct way, just like our ancestors did at Ellis Island. Stand in line, fill out the paper work and pray you get your chance, but you have to do it legally or get the hell out of here.

This article ran Sunday in the Parade magazine of the GR Press. Notice how they interchange the word legal and illegal all in the same sentence?
As H.L. Mencken once observed, “There is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong.” So often true. But when it comes to creating American jobs, there is also a partial solution that is neat, plausible, and right.
It lies in our immigration policies. For more than five years, Washington has wrestled so hard with the vexing problem of illegal immigration that we have forgotten how much we can gain from legal immigrants. Indeed, they can be an enormous source of vitality — and jobs.
Since the early days of the Republic, talented foreigners have streamed to our shores to till the soil, build industries, and turn the country into a scientific and technological powerhouse. (YES, my ancestors came here legally, as did the parents of those listed below, btw) They converted the U.S. into the first global nation, giving us adaptability, an intuitive feel for other cultures, and an innovative edge.
We see living proof of what they can accomplish in the lives of Sergey Brin (pictured left), Jerry Yang (right), and Pierre Omidyar (center).
All three came here as the children of legal immigrants and grew up with the blessings of opportunity in their adopted land. And guess what: They went on to start Google, Yahoo!, and eBay. Nor are they alone in their contributions. From 1995 to 2005, legal immigrants were CEOs or lead technologists in one of every four U.S. tech and engineering start-ups and half of those in Silicon Valley. These companies employed some 450,000 people before the recession hit.
It’s now commonplace to see foreign-born students dominating U.S. graduate programs in science, math, and technology. Not long ago, it was joked that MIT stood for “Made in Taiwan.” Immigrants have accounted for 70 or so of 315 American Nobel Prize winners since 1901 and, according to one study, about half of all patents issued in the past decade.
But that flow of talent is starting to reverse course. The U.S. imposes so many limits on the numbers of legal immigrants and, since 9/11, has introduced such a thicket of red tape that many who would have come here are now staying home. (Thats their choice if they do not want wait in line to come to the most prosperous nation in the world) Moreover, their native countries have become more alluring: By a 9 to 1 ratio, Chinese respondents to a recent survey said they had better opportunities to start businesses in China than in the U.S. By a 2 to 1 margin, Indians said their home country provided better education for their children.
NOTE: We are all about LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, those who abide by our laws. If you break US law, you are by definition, a criminal. We lock up criminals as does every other nation on this planet. So follow the law, come here legal, learn patience and you are welcome to the best country God ever gave to man, the United States of America. We welcome you and your legal family with open arms to live the American Dream, which is why immigrants flock to this nation. Its the land of opportunity, but illegal immigration is destroying it, by sucking this nation dry of all the social benefits they receive off the system, which in turn is driving this nation into bankruptcy.

Immigration and the laws? We are a nation of laws and not of men. Everybody MUST follow the laws!

This makes me realize how many times I am asked for an ID. I never thought about it before. Now that I have, I can’t for the life of me see why anyone would get upset.
I’M A LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZEN & I MUST SHOW MY ID WHEN:
1. Pulled over by the police.
2. Making purchases on my department store credit card.
3. When I show up for a doctor’s appointment.
4. When filling out a credit card or loan application.
5. When applying for or renewing a driver’s license.
6. When applying for any kind of insurance.
7. When filling out college applications.
8. When donating blood.
9. When obtaining certain prescription drugs.
10. When making some debit purchases, especially if I’m out of state.
11. When collecting a boarding pass for airline or train travel.
12. When applying for a job.
13. When applying for unemployment.
14. When applying for social security.
I’m sure there are more instances, but the point is that we citizens of the USA are required to prove who we are nearly every day!!!
Why should people in this country ILLEGALLY, be exempt !!!!!
For that matter, perhaps we should all answer the question: Why shouldn’t the USA guard its borders as closely as every other country in the world does? They don’t want people in their countries that do not follow their laws, why should we?
