Cows, The Constitution & The Ten Commandments

Everyone concentrates on the problems we’re having in this country lately — illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida .

…….. not me — I concentrate on solutions for the problems — it’s a win-win situation.

* Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.
* Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levees.
* Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.

Any other problems you would like for me to solve today?

Think about this:
1.   Cows
2.   The Constitution
3.   The Ten Commandments

COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 12 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow..

THE CONSTITUTION

They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq …. why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it anymore.

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS
The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this — you cannot post ‘Thou Shalt Not Steal’ ‘Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery’ and ‘Thou Shall Not Lie’ in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians … it creates a hostile work environment

It is time for America to speak up!

Yep, I am!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Recount paperwork has been filed with the Allegan County Clerks office for the Dorr Fire Millage from Aug 3, 2010 election

The Dorr Township Fire Millage votes will be recounted to ensure the voters that the heads on the tabulators are clean as a whistle after a recent recalll election in May, 2010 proved that the voting tabulators do not count ballots accurately.

Michigan law states that any recounts requested must be made by electors in the district affected by the question being voted within 6 days following certification of the election by the board of county canvassers, so we are exercising our right to this recount.

5 of the 7 board members who were being recalled had different votes after a recount was conducted by the county after the certified election results.  The Allegan county clerk said the reason was because Dorr’s tabulators had dirty heads, so if that is the case this time around, the outcome of this Fire Millage in Dorr Township could change.

The integrity of the election process is at stake, so paperwork has been filed for a recount.  The vote on Aug. 3, 2010 was 714- YES, 713-NO.  A difference in only 1 vote could stop this millage.

Breakdown of the Dorr Township Fire Millage by precinct as certified by the County Clerks office, Aug. 9th, 2010:

Precinct 1  YES-135   NO-108

Precinct 2  YES-273   NO-244

Precinct 3  YES-203   No-199

Precinct 4  YES-103   NO-162
